The Founding Ethos: Remembering Stella & Shelia

Stella Bradbrook

This philanthropic wing of our network is named in honor of Stella Bradbrook, a foundational INsider who embodied the exact ethos of our community: Scale your own business fiercely, but never leave anyone else behind.

Though she was taken from us too early, her legacy of relentless support for fellow entrepreneurs across the UK remains the gold standard for how our members conduct business today.

Shelia Steptoe

We also honor the profound wisdom and legacy of Shelia Steptoe, who attended our events from 2009 to 2025. Shelia taught us that not all business advice is equal, and that leading with integrity is paramount. In her memory, we proudly champion the work of St Helena’s Hospice, a cause close to her family’s heart, represented in our network by Rosalyn LeClerc.

We honor and remember all the INsiders we have lost over the years by continuing the vital work of supporting others.

Chris Bedwell – A Business Owner that Cares
Starting the year Chris completed a website for Stepping Stones Play and Learn Group in Colchester. This setting does incredibly valuable work working with young people, some of which have a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
I also completed the 100km (60 miles) charity run challenge to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, raising over £300. Something I am incredibly proud of.
