it’s not just Small businesses hit by tough times – charities
BWN INsiders is a networking and business growth organisation that attracts sole traders to larger organisations and proudly supports many charities. We have INsiders who are chair’s of charities and those that are responsible for fund raising and growth for the charity or CIC (Community Interest Company.) And all our members talk about how hard times are and how fast things are changing. It is why we come together to network, to share, to empower and train so that no matter what you can thrive.
Over the years BWN INsiders has raised funds for many charities and we know first hand that it’s not just about raising money, a few hours support, sharing some posts, helping to get the word out there and attending and supporting their events, helps too.
Many business owners also take on crazy challenges for charity and we promote these on the Stella INsiders page here. If you are an INsider and doing good, do let us know so we can promote you too. Money is tight for many so even sharing our INsiders posts helps.
Rosalyn LeClerc is the Senior Philanthropy Manager at St Helena’s Hospice and spoke in our promo slot at our June Essex networking event about the work they do and how you can help them in these tough times to help more people when they need it most…

Get your tux and or ball gown ready!
- Prizes! The ball has the most amazing high-value auction and raffle prizes that make thousands for the charity. Can you help with money can’t buy prizes? We’ve already made some suggestions that will be available exclusively on the night and we will share more at the INsiders networking events too.
- Get seen in all the right places. The ball is an exceptional opportunity to get your company seen by the biggest and the best from across the Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Herts, London and Cambridgeshire region. With those people all in the same room, it’s the perfect opportunity to be seen and build brand awareness and respect. Rosalyn has a variety of sponsorship packages available however these are going fast, so do get in touch with Rosalyn here urgently.
- More Balls! Well in the old days the balls went around in the lottery machine and we imagine that they do even today! For just £5 a month you could win up to £25,000 and help this amazing charity. Learn more and sign up here. You could even give your lottery winnings back to the charity.
- Shout about them. This doesn’t seem a lot to ask does it? Take 1 minute once a month to shout about a charity you love. 1 minute. Find St Helena’s posts on LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Facebook or Instagram and love, comment and share their content. Raising awareness helps them touch more lives and help at the toughest of times. So that 1 minute gives you the feel good factor too right? Nothing wrong with that!
- Who do you know? Do you operate with HNWI clients? If so you could help spread the word about St Helena’s Hospice’s fabulous event and activities, to help raise vital funds.
- Plan ahead with lasting legacy. Making a will and entrusting your hard work and financial success to St Helena’s Hospice is a lasting legacy that makes a genuine difference.
- Visit. Rosalyn is the first to remind BWN INsiders that the hospice is not a sad place. It is a place of life, and hope and kindness. They offer visits so you can see for yourself the amazing work they do. The way they hold hands, make wishes come true, grant last minute weddings, write letters for future children and help those last moments to be perfectly priceless in every way imaginable. St Helena’s Hospice really is a place of beauty and love. If you need to be reminded of the beauty in the world, a visit here achieves just that!
- Volunteer. It doesn’t have to be tough, full time or onerous. Get in touch with the team to explore the opportunities to feel good about doing good.
- Are you following them? Click here to follow their Facebook account. A little love on their posts really does help.
Rosalyn is a great example of an BWN INsider who works beyond her hours to make a real difference, even sharing this article, could help Rosalyn and the team at St Helena’s reach more people and get more beds back up and running, thank you for reading and caring.
