Top Mary Poppins Tribute Takes On New Role

Many at the BWN networking and business growth organisation know Nicola Goodchild very well. A British Actress who has worked extensively in the theatre, voiced a number of Japanese Manga cartoons and even starred opposite Mo Farah in a Yopa TV ad, but that pales for many when we tell you that Nicola was flown to Sardinia to star opposite George Clooney!

Yes George Clooney!

Nicola has featured on many a popular UK TV show and is best known to us as the top UK Mary Poppins Tribute even be the star at Liberties Christmas!

Here business woman Nicola Goodchild shares with us her latest role a lot nearer to home that you can see in the real world and not on the small screen!

This is such a gorgeous event.

FRIDAY 8TH DECEMBER 11.30am to 4pm

Twas the Night Before Christmas and all through the house…

Arrive at 11.30 for coffee and biscuits, then a guided tour with owners Nick and Sheila Charrington through the private areas of the house, which they make look absolutely beautiful. The dining table is laid with sparkling crystal glasses and silverware and everything is fairy lit and twinkly.

Then a 3 course lunch in the long gallery after which guests move into the medieval barn for the entertainment.

To finish, warm mince pies and mulled wine is served and the cast lead the guests in carols, while folk have the opportunity for some traditional gifts at the Layer Marney Tower pop up shop in the barn!

So unusual and a bespoke short play of about 35 mins as a post Christmas lunch entertainment. A romp through time and different eras to see how our traditions came to pass…all wrapped up with the classic poem A Visit from St. Nicholas.
